The platform stated the new system was more in line with other platforms. They have suggested members to review their products and update the measurements by hand where appropriate, which has left users frustrated. Sizing System Modifications Earlier, the sizes had both numerical and alphabetical indicators, such as S/8 or M/10. The new system has a letter with a size spectrum such as S/UK 8-10. For certain items, the size labels have been reassigned - such as a large size was formerly size 12 but is now a UK 16-18. Member Stories One content creator, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," as the platform currently indicates. Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, explained products she uploaded with size 14 tags were displaying on the service as measurements 20-22. "If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they will likely be quite upset," she said. Required Changes Charlotte Lunn, from Derby, explained she became annoyed by the change as she had to manually change the sizing for "all her products". "For me this is particularly frustrating, since I have chronic health issues and Vinted sales have been crucial for me since losing part of my income," she said. This isn't the first time that an unexpected update on the platform has faced criticism: previously, Vinted reversed a change concerning shipment methods due to shopper criticism.
